What are QR Codes?
A QR Code like, the one pictured inset, is a 2 dimensional bar code created by Japanese corporation Denso-Wave in 1994. The "QR" is derived from "Quick Response", as the creator intended the code to allow its contents to be decoded at high speed.
Although they were designed for the automotive industry, they are now widely used for mobile tagging; an act of bridging the gap between offline and online worlds.
They have a high data capacity , and can encode up to 4,296 alphanumeric characters. This makes them practical to use for encoding various types of data. A phone equipped with a QR Code reader can decode these barcodes, and prompt the user to perform actions like visit a web page, initiate a phone call, or a text message.
We have some range of PHP applications that enable you to generate these barcodes and measure their success when deployed in the offline world.
QR Code Analytics
This is a web based PHP application that enables you to measure the effectiveness of QR Code barcodes deployed in the offline world. It will generate the QR Codes for you, and gather analytics data when people scan them. The data will then be presented to you in a manner that is easily understood.
You will be able to view daily , weekly, monthly and yearly scans, locations they were scanned from, and phone models that were used .
